The Grand Hotel Union is a jewel in the crown and the pride of Slovenia’s capital. It was built in 1905 in the eternally elegant Secessionist style and has hosted such dignitaries as Queen Elizabeth II, Bill and Hillary Clinton and the Dalai Lama. The hotel boasts a superb location right in the heart of Ljubljana, from where it is merely a few steps to the Triple Bridge and the charming Old Town with its narrow cobbled medieval lanes.
The Grand Hotel Union features several halls suitable for the organisation of wedding receptions of various sizes. Its largest, the magnificently restored Union Hall, may accommodate up to 250 wedding guests at beautifully-laid round tables. This exquisite Art Nouveau hall has played host to prominent balls throughout its rich history and remains a prime setting for gala events to this day.
